Greensboro morning. I had never truly considered before how much a round mirrored table looks like a reflecting pond, there in your room, but it does.
I might have to look for one sometime. In any case, everything about this Airbnb cottage was lovely, and we were a little sad to roll out so early and leave it behind.
The Artgirl had a long but productive follow-up with the specialist, and we were on the road home again around lunchtime. And I have to say, as much as I loved the little Airbnb, it's nice to be back in my own long-term private Airbnb. I too have a cute kitchen and a screened porch it's too cold to sit on at the moment. Additionally, this private, exclusive Airbnb comes with a private, exclusive dog, currently occupying my private, exclusive chair with me.
Wearing on this cold day:
*Wool& Sierra dress (XS) in Iris Blue, bought January 2025, last worn January 7. I did say outfit repeating was in this year, didn't I? Wears in 2025: 3
*Secondhand Connemara merino cardigan, bought September or October 2024. First season of wear
*Snag cashmere footless tights, bought summer 2024. First season of wear.
*Darn Tough Socks, bought 2023, second season of wear
*Xero Tari boots, bought summer 2022, third season of wear
This is pretty much what I was wearing Tuesday evening --- the tights and boots are different, but the dress and cardigan are a repeat. I do love these colors together, and I think the shapes work as well. I was right in guessing that I would just want to wear thick, warm, sweatery wool today. We won't get the "winter weather" predicted for our area until late-ish tomorrow, and temperatures right now are above freezing, but the cold has been pretty penetrating. I was okay outside for a few minutes hanging laundry in the lee of the house, but on the whole, all I really want is to cocoon indoors.
I did add one more outfit to my travel capsule, just in case: a repeat of my NPL Smock dress in Emerald Green with my Wool& Maggie Aegean Teal dress to wear under, with either the pink merino cardigan from yesterday or this green Connemara cardigan. But . . . yeah. I knew what I was going to want to wear, and I don't really know why I bothered with anything else.
Despite my wanting to cocoon, it is pub night --- we ended up not going out the other night because the Artgirl didn't feel well, so tonight I suspect that we shall make an evening of it, possibly with friends. I might or might not put on tall boots to step out in. At any rate, I am comfortable and feel put together, which is always the goal here.
