SUNDAY, ORDINARY TIME 15

Peggys Cove, Nova Scotia, this afternoon.

Here's a bit of a Halifax photo dump --- we were there Friday and Saturday nights, went to Mass at the Cathedral in Halifax this morning, and then drove to Lunenburg, passing through Peggys Cove on the way.

Scenes of the Halifax harbor: boats at their moorings, memorials to the first European explorers and to emigrants, a big wind sculpture thing composed of metal and a zillion little glass fins (that whistle when the wind blows through them), Georges Island out in the harbor, and colorful Adirondack chairs along the harbor walk.

A few shots of the Cathedral:

And the Peggys Cove lighthouse and Anglican church:

Here's a shot of where we are now, along Princes Inlet outside the colorful, charming town of Lunenburg:

And a shot of the Lunenburg harbor from our rather chilly outdoor restaurant table

Now we're back at the Airbnb --- the husband has gone for a walk, and I am having some tea.

Travel capsule so far:

Friday: Iris Blue Sierra dress, jean jacket, Xero Z-Trek sandals, crossbody bag. Sierra wears in 2025: 32

Saturday: Teal Fiona dress, teal cashmere cardigan. Z-Trek sandals, bag. That evening I traded the cardigan for my jean jacket again, but I didn't take a photo. Fiona wears in 2025: 8

Sunday: Audrey dress, worn all day. I wore my pink silk-rayon cardigan and Crocs thong sandals to Mass, but didn't get a photo (no good mirror or selfie spot in our last Airbnb). Traded the cardigan and sandals for my jean jacket and Z-Treks when we got to Peggys Cove (see photos above). THEN, as it was getting chillier as evening drew on, I added my green pullover, and I am glad I did, especially since we ate outside. Audrey wears in 2025: 19

I almost didn't bring this jean jacket, but it has been my constant workhorse --- it makes any outfit instantly cooler.

Speaking of cooler, it's going to be about 10 degrees cooler tomorrow: mid-60sF instead of mid-70sF. So I am glad I brought layers. I'm not sure yet what I'm going to wear, but I might actually break out some leggings.

Anyway, it's all performing well so far. I'm glad I brought the layers I did, because especially at night, the weather has been fairly cool. It's quite pleasant, and the days have been gorgeous, but I'm glad to have sweaters to put on when the sun goes down.

We've been doing a lot of walking, and by nightfall, I am pretty tired, which is good. Live vigorously, sleep well. Which, in fact, is what I'm shortly going to do . . .
