FRIDAY, ORDINARY TIME 16

Cathedral basilica on the campus of St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

Accomplished today:

*dog walk and some training in the house

*tribute poem and essay for my friend Jane, who died on Tuesday

*listening currently to my Norse lit class (so this will be short)

Wearing today:

*Secondhand Not Perfect Linen Mama dress (S) in Caffe Mocha, bought fall 2024, last worn June 5. Wears in 2025: 10

*Thrifted Crocs, year 2

I haven't been wearing this dress, because I thought the sleeves would be too hot. But really --- it's fine. I've been in and out all day long, and walked in the mid-morning sun, and I haven't been too hot at all. And I really love the flow and swing of this dress, which is airy and cool even in the late-July heat here. I have no idea why this color is called Caffe Mocha, because it reminds me of neither coffee nor chocolate, but it is a beautiful soft color that I enjoy wearing. I will look forward to more wears as the summer wanes --- it's also a good dress for the shift into autumn, especially as warm as that shift is in these parts.

OK, turning my attention more fully to "Egil's Saga" now . . .
