THURSDAY, QUEENSHIP OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY/TO MEMPHIS

Last night's view from the parking lot at Olde Hickory Station, a favorite brewpub up the road. It was a gorgeous evening, cooling down so that I was glad of my denim jacket sitting outside.

Date-night outfit last night:

Today I'm up early to finish packing, dress, and hit the 8 a.m. Mass on my way out of town.

I've put the Artgirl's packages of supplies, with paid mailing labels, on the front steps for the mailman to pick up. That's the last of the little procrastination-provoking tasks that I needed to do.

Tonight, God willing and the traffic flows smoothly: Memphis.

Wearing:

A bit dark in the bathroom this early in the morning. Decided to wear some blue for Mary, though my main blue is very teal.

*Wool& Willow dress (M/Long) in Ocean Teal, bought October 2023, last worn August 6. This has been on my outfit plan, and today seemed like a good day to wear it, for Mass and travel.

*Secondhand J.Jill linen-rayon navy cardigan, bought summer 2023, last worn June 16. I've been reaching for the champagne-colored version of this cardigan a lot more in the summer, but am glad to have and wear the navy one, especially as the summer winds down toward autumn.

*Secondhand Birk Mayaris, bought in April, worn constantly.

Hair washed on Tuesday, worn in a braided bun secured with spiral pins today, to wash tomorrow morning before the funeral.

I have my black linen dress, both Brooklyn dresses, my black and brown Mary Janes, black and champagne sweaters, and a silk scarf with a black-and-rose print that I might wear at my neck tomorrow. I think I'm set.

And away we go.
