THURSDAY, ORDINARY TIME 24/WOOLLY NATURAL 23 DAY 262

Autumn Joy sedum on the kitchen table, in a little vase made by the Artgirl.

Thursday, Thursday . . . love that it's pub day, the end of the husband's work week, at least. So far I haven't been able to take Fridays off for anything fun, but he appreciates the extra weekend day to get things done. It's a nice privilege of having taught in the same place for fifteen years, and also of being the guy who lives 45 minutes away. The registrar has been a good friend to him and his class schedule these many years --- no night classes for over a decade, no early-morning classes, and now a schedule where most of his load is Tuesday-Thursdays, with no classes at all on Fridays. A guy could hang on a lot longer without retiring with a schedule like this.

Not much on for me: hair wash, dog walk, essays, the usual. It's another nice day of the weather we've been having: low 80sF during the day, high 50s at night.

Wearing:

Extreme Basic today. Maggie B-for-marine-blue, tossed on for a third September wear, with the default purple Birk Rosemeads. I might change for the pub tonight, or I might just tweak this outfit to make it a little more like something. For now, it's the equivalent of lounging and working in my pajamas, but I wore it out for two miles on the greenway and was presentable, if you don't count the wet hair.

And so to work.

MUCH LATER:

Pub outfit: Extreme Basic + jean jacket. I had on an extra string of beads for a while, but they felt like too much, so I pulled them off and put them in my purse.

Probably the wrong move, but you know how it is when you just feel like no.

Anyway, it was a nice night out with Clark and Christine, and now we're home and going to walk the dog again in a while. The moon is loveley --- I think we've agreed that it's waxing, not waning.
