SATURDAY, EASTER 5/WOOLLY NATURAL 23 DAY 133/MARIAN BLUE DAY 13/ABBEY GRADUATION

Our Lady of the Sign.

On my way out the door, but quickly, here's the daily outfit summary:

Sweet Maggie T, simple and cool. Rose in my hat. Comfortable sandals for trekking around campus.

Linen shawl in my purse for additional sun protection:

I think this hits all the sweet spots. I hope it does, anyway.

And I'm off to see 'em walk!

MUCH LATER:

They walked, and it was a great day. I got taken out for beer and dinner at the Olde Hickory Station Taproom in Hickory, one of our favorite places --- took the Viking Son, who leaves us tomorrow night, and enjoyed hearing his account of a manic bus ride, with in-flight movie, from Rome to Sicily a few weeks back. The man has been LIVING.

I took off my hat and washed my hair --- I was very sweaty after graduation. For dinner out I put back on the exact same outfit, but added  my jean jacket:

Arty Portrait Version of Same:

In the kitchen, but ha ha, you can't tell, because the filter makes the background all blurry. I could be someplace . . . exotique. Who would know? (well, everyone reading this, because I said where I am, but anyway).

Came home, took the dog for a tramp around the neighborhood, and am planning to go to bed early. Tomorrow Is Another Sunday.

Oh, also, here's the rose in my hat post-graduation:

Still the world's loveliest pink, but a little flattened by a morning in the sun.
