TUESDAY, ORDINARY TIME 3

This is a blog about clothes, after all. And in the morning sunshine, this palette of soft colors looked lovely to me. It's a beautiful day, warmer, with a high near 60F. I'm not quite ready to start using the "winter into spring" label, but that is how today feels.

AGENDA:

*Dog walk

*Trip to Walmart to replace laptop, because as I've discovered, there are some crucial work things this tablet won't do without major difficulty and time, if at all

*One last essay for next week

*Class planning/handout composition

*Work on travel plans for next week and late February's Texas jaunt ---- I really need to consider my carry-on packing for cold New Hampshire, so that I can sail out every day feeling both confident and warm

Wearing today:

*Secondhand Not Perfect Linen Mama dress (S) in Caffe Mocha, bought fall 2024, last worn in Advent. First wear in 2025

*Thrifted Peruvian Connection alpaca cardigan, bought fall 2022. Third season of wear

*Snag merino tights in Sand Dollar, first season of wear

*Secondhand Birkenstock Rosemead clogs, bought spring 2023. Second season of wear

I'm never sure about tights and clogs, but I'm a tiny bit tired of boots. The blushy purple suede of these Rosemead plays pretty nicely, I think, with the bluer, grayer purple of this dress --- which I'm glad to put on after a longish hiatus. It fits a little closely for under-layers, so in the cold weather I've been ignoring it in favor of other things. But it's a perfect transitional- weather dress. I anticipate leaning heavily on it in this year's very late Lent.

I am really loving soft, springlike color combinations lately --- anticipation is a powerful thing.

Speaking of, the dog is anticipating her walk...
