SATURDAY, ORDINARY TIME 29

Sir Cardinal on the dogwood outside my window.

Another quite warm day, high of 80-ish Farenheit. I could wish for a little more snap in the air, but there it is. Here's my office, bathed in morning sun:

This morning I'm hand-washing some clothes to hang out --- this warm sunny weather does come in handy --- in preparation for next week's packing. I'm still trying to settle on a carry-on travel capsule for weather that will be not that cold, but not hot, either. Weather in Milwaukee Tuesday and Wednesday: mid-70s. Weather in South Bend Thursday to Sunday: high 50s, low 60s, so some actual autumn weather. Lows at night in the 40s, Farenheit.

Pretty sure my capsule will include

*Wool& Marine Blue Fiona

*Wool& Pacific Brooklyn

*Wool& Teal Fiona (probably)

*at least one linen dress, but I'm not sure which one

*magenta cashmere blazer cardigan

*merino coat cardigan

*green corduroy blazer

*Earth Shoe Mary Janes, Birk Papillios, Tari boots

*several pairs of merino tights & black cashmere footless tights

Can I get it all in without checking a bag? We shall see.

Meanwhile:

Odds and ends today, but also work on this presentation. It's getting there, but I need to make sure it's coming into actual clear focus.

Wearing:

*Wool& Fiona dress (M) in Teal, bought November 2022, last worn October 8. Total wears this year to date: 18

*Secondhand Eileen Fisher merino cardigan coat (while it's cool), bought August 2024.

*Secondhand Birkenstock Mayaris, bought in April, worn constantly.

Basic, no-frills outfit for a Saturday, but I do love this dress. I am really seriously considering selling both my Willow dresses, because I like this dress shape, with a defined waist, a lot better than I do the swing silhouette at this stage, and I think I'd prefer to have these as my options for wear.

Anyway. Better go hang my laundry and get ready to take the dog out.
