Morning view: the Nidaros Cathedral spire and rain. I don't think it's supposed to rain all day --- the summer weather here is nothing if not variable. But right now it's about 53F and wet.
We're having a slow morning, drinking coffee, washing clothes, enjoying a bit of a break. We have an appointment at noon to meet the diocesan bursar for a tour of the Catholic cathedral, then possibly lunch --- he mentioned the possibility of lunch "with some of our entourage." As we're an entourage of two, I hope we'll be a manageable number (and if not, we'll cheerfully take ourselves to lunch).
Wearing today:
This was the first experiment:
*Wool& Audrey dress (S) in Black Heather
*Secondhand Sparrow/Anthropologie merino-cotton-angora (or mohair) pullover.
*Most likely wearing those Xero shoes shown in foreground.
But then I started to think about the temperature changing, and
The alpaca cardigan started to seem like a better idea.
I'm wearing a Kosher Casuals crop top under Audrey today for a little neckline correction, since I'm going into a church and convening with clergy.
I also seem to be wearing my transitions sunglasses nonstop. It's just easier to keep them on than to keep changing glasses.
In other news, there's a nice first review of my forthcoming book of short stories up at the Substack newsletter Dear, Strange Things, written by Gina Dalfonzo.
Also, I've been reading Don Quixote off and on in my travels, but also Mark Jarman's next-to-latest book of poems, The Heronry, and Anne Stevenson's last book, Completing the Circle.
And on with the day.
