TUESDAY, ORDINARY TIME 4: MEMPHIS

Boring image today, but I'm up early doing social-media promo for the Substack and figured out that I could share pull quotes this way from an essay. My intention is not to be on social media a lot, but I have to manage our Facebook page and share posts daily on Twitter, etc, so I'm doing that and then signing off for the day, more or less. I don't think poetry posts are going to blow up any timelines.

Drove all day yesterday, passing through some light snowfall in the mountains. Heavy traffic in places, but nothing really bad. Rolled into Memphis around 6:15 p.m., had a nice dinner with my mother and brother, did a movement workout, read for a while in bed, then slept soundly. Didn't mean to get up at 5, but once I figured that I was really awake, I did get up. About to take a shower, to give my hair plenty of time to dry, then make coffee and work for a bit. I need to check in with the colleague this morning, and then I'm going to lunch with my mother-in-law --- will spend the bulk of the afternoon with her, I imagine.

Wearing today:

*Wool& Brooklyn dress (S/Long) in Beetroot

*Secondhand WoolX men's blue merino base-layer tee (S), neckline cut out by me

*Secondhand Peruvian Connection alpaca cardigan

*Snag merino navy tights

*Secondhand Birkenstock Melrose boots

I'd been dressed for about an hour when I realized I had my dress on inside-out, in case you wondered how awake I am.

Calloo callay, a frabjous day already! (Also, note to self to edit out that ceiling fixture next time, for it is surpassing hideous.)
