SATURDAY, ORDINARY TIME 28/WOOLLY NATURAL 23 DAY 291

A friend met on the roadside coming down from a hike this morning near Harper's Ferry, West Virginia.

More scenery:

I repeated my Thursday hiking-dress outfit for this outing, except that this time I wore my navy Allbirds leggings and fortunately did not fall down and tear them.

Willow hiding underneath:

I've showered now and am wearing just Sierra while I hang out quietly in my room and prep for my reading and conversation with my friend Carla tonight. Willow is airing after her hiking trip, but will be my dress for the evening.

Having a good time with this lovely family I'm visiting, with children ages 17-3. Lots of conversations about bottle-cap collections and cats.

LATER:

Dressed to go out to this gathering and literary reading:

This is a first outing for my redyed Sapphire Snag tights --- formerly Sand Dollar/taupe. Giving this plum merino Talbots blazer/cardigan, bought off Poshmark last winter, a whirl as well, with my Birk Melrose boots again. I really love these boots . . . another bargain Poshmark buy, though I think they were actually new.

It's nice to have cool enough weather finally to wear all these layers and options. The one new dress seems to have scratched my itch for novelty, and now I'm enjoying putting the rest of my wardrobe to work in combination with said dress.

Ten days into what might or might not be a 30-day challenge . . . only two more sets of ten to make it complete. Will she do it? Only time will tell.
