TUESDAY, ORDINARY TIME 25/WOOLLY NATURAL 23 DAY 267/THE MOUNTAINS ARE CALLING

Moon behind cloud, over the lamplit street on our walk last night.

Today's the day! I'm feeling a little sad, as I always do when I'm about to leave home for a stretch, especially by myself --- no matter how much I look forward to the trip and love traveling, especially solo roadtrips, I hate the leaving part and anticipate the homecoming.

I tossed a few still-damp things in the dryer, to make sure they get good and dry before I pack them. When I finish my coffee I'll wash my hair and get myself dressed in something, then take Dora out for a walk. I have a walker lined up for her, for the days when my husband is late at work, so she won't have to spend too many hours in her crate at a stretch.

Then into the car and off to Cullowhee!

Wearing:

Sierra, for a fourth September wear. Highs today, both here and in the mountains, look like mid-to-high 70sF, with lows in the 50s. Not cold, but pleasantly cool and fallish --- perfect for a heavier, darker dress. I love this intense piney green with my aqua cardigan. Repeating my Xero Oswegos from yesterday, because they're nice and lightweight, but good for walking and also kind of fallish, a change from sandals.

Wet hair, which has had one go with the diffuser, and I'll probably diffuse again before I go. Even short, it takes forever to dry. If I get too warm, I can be sleeveless and comfortable in Sierra, but I do love her with this soft light layer. As always, she's doing me a good turn as a fit-and-flare dress, though I could also sleep in her, worn loose, and be delightfully comfortable.

I'm going to go make the bed and finish packing, then take the dog out. Then off I go!

PS: Just received my return credit from Wool&, but am going to sit on it to see when new things become available. I would really like to try that Talia dress, which I think might work a lot better for me than the Norah I sent back, so I'll just let that credit burn a hole in my metaphorical pocket for a while, until I get notice that they're live and ready to go.
