Morning sun on the kitchen island. As of today, only a hundred days left in the year. Whatever we were all planning to do with our one wild and precious 2023, we had better hurry up and do it.
The sun is shining today. High of 82F. The plan, as far as I know, is Mass, then laze about.
Wearing:
Here's a good example of a Wool& dress in a small size that does fit (unlike the Norah, which totally did not). My body is the same, but the flared skirt of this Brooklyn (a small long) skims it a lot better.
Part of it is the higher waist --- at least, the elastic waist can sit where it's more flattering, in a way that a set-in waist can't. And again, the skirt just has more flare.
Anyway, here we are, ready to roll. Brooklyn was a perfect summer dress, but she layers well and creatively for the fall. My thrifted Papillio wedges add an autumnal note, and this was a nice excuse to break out this thrifted J. Jill linen-blend long cardigan, which adds a lightweight top layer. Kosher Casuals crop top in "jeans blue," because church.
I do love this Pacific green, which will wear so well into the winter. In another month, maybe, I'll be able to do some boots and tights with this dress, which will be fun.
Meanwhile, I've had a little good news about some poems I'd sent out --- something especially to give thanks for in my prayers at Mass today.
