Turns out that I don't need my travel capsule today --- Marly has some kind of bug, picked up from the assisted living where her mother is, and we've decided to push back our visit till tomorrow. So here I am. Gives me a chance to get some more work done, at any rate. Possibly I can tie off my Seren essay before I go, plus I have to write up a little prospectus for the talk I'm giving at this conference the Saturday after Easter.
Dora and I walked a full 5 miles yesterday, which leaves us with just over 11 miles to go to reach our virtual Walsingham. We might walk a little less far today, just because of time and my need to get other stuff done.
Wearing today:
Sierra, pulling up neck-and-neck with Camellia for 7 wears in March. I gave Sierra the Maggie/Fiona treatment the other day, i.e. washing her in hot and drying her in the dryer, because she was feeling stretched out. This shrank her maybe an inch in length, which was what I wanted. I use regular old TruEarth laundry strips, but add a big squidge of hair conditioner to the water for softness.
It's cooler out this morning, 46F at the moment, though the high is supposed to be 63F. Yesterday turned out quite warm, and I'm imagining that once this day gets going, it'll be really pleasant. Still, for now I'm wearing my thrifted alpaca cardigan and old purple leggings, with blue EVA Birks because, again, there they were. I like the tender spring colors with the soft gray --- and as always, I'm insanely comfortable.
I've just seen that Wool& is adding a cobalt Sierra to their lineup, and oh. my. I am so intensely tempted. Now, I have what's essentially a cobalt dress in my redyed Camellia, but I love Sierra so much, and I love that color so much, and . . . I dunno, I'm just really tempted. I wear my current Sierra so much, and an intensely blue Sierra . . . okay, yes, I've said I'm tempted, and I am.
