Dried apples: Round 1. More are drying now, both in the dehydrator and in the regular oven, where I've spread slices out on a screen-type pizza pan, that provides plenty of air flow. One of my goals for this week is to dispense with our big box of deer apples one way or another: a bowl for eating, but all the rest either cooked or preserved for the winter, so that nothing goes bad.
Meanwhile, I'm still sick. This is getting old. I was feeling better on Saturday, for example, when I was doing the polka at the neighborhood Oktoberfest. Now I'm worried that I've given something to that nice man who asked me to dance. I still don't think it's Covid --- tests have been negative all along. But it's definitely something, and not something bacterial, because I'm almost finished with my antibiotic and don't feel any better. Trying to lie very low and get over it before the two weeks ahead, when my plan is to be traveling, visiting, and attending this conference in Dallas.
Wearing:
Not remotely trying to be stylish, just to wear the closest thing to a nightgown I can manage and still step outside with the dog in broad daylight.
And . . . went off and forgot to post this, but better late than never!
