In yesterday's mail: author copies of Works of Mercy!
Today: feeling a good bit better. I went out to Mass for St. John Chrysostom, then took a friend to lunch. I also "wore-it-forward," repeating one element of yesterday's outfit:
I like my redyed Camellia dress so much better with this duck-egg-blue cardigan than I liked it in the original, paler, grayer color. I actually wore this combo for my online reading last night and liked it so much I thought I'd do it again. Red replacement Xero Cassies, since my daughter's dog chewed up one of my original pair.
It was actually COOL this morning when I took Dora out for our constitutional: COOL as in I was comfortable in this dress and cardigan. Fall is coming, it really is. Granted, it'll warm up again. It's already a lot warmer now, in the mid-afternoon, than it was. But that freshness in the morning is something I've missed these last few weeks, and it's nice to get a breath of a new season, however brief that breath may be.
