Ajuga blooming at the edge of the shade garden by the back door.
I'm waiting right now for my Kindle to charge so that I can keep reading The Woman in White -- a Wilkie Collins page-turner if ever there were one. I've figured out a solution to the current impasse in the plot, and I feel sure that I'm right about it, but I must read on to find out how it all gets untangled.
Meanwhile, it's spring and really feels like it, and Dora and I are sitting together on the back patio. I need to order groceries, but otherwise, with my husband back at work, it's looking like a quiet day.
Wearing:
Purple secondhand bamboo swing dress, secondhand Birk Floridas, thrifted bike shorts under my dress. I could put on a cardigan -- it gets cool when the sun goes behind a cloud -- but I haven't yet. I'll probably go for a green one if I do.
Back to reading! And marveling that I can use the "spring" label for these posts now, instead of "winter into spring."
ADDENDUM: Maybe it's just my white legs and the fact that I really didn't try at all today, but this outfit does make me feel more than usually like Some Lady In Walmart.
