SUNDAY, LENT 3/NO-BUY 2022 DAY 79

A new brewing of dandelion wine, started yesterday afternoon.

Here are the dandelion petals ready for steeping in hot water:

You could stop at this stage and just have tea, though this would be an awfully labor-intensive cup of tea.  Here's the room-temperature mix, an hour or so later, with sugar and yeast just dissolved in.

And here's the first round, fermenting away, though it hasn't really started foaming yet:

Wearing for Mass today:

A gray and purple scheme, though no two elements match exactly: my Sierra dress (yet again), plus thrifted Eddie Bauer grape cabled cardigan, lavender-ish purple leggings, and pale-gray Chinese Mary-Jane shoes. I don't just love this as an outfit, but it gets the job done.

Another view:

Here, with Dora and her favorite mauled toy:

It's a beautiful day, though not quite as warm as yesterday. We're off to Mass at the Abbey, then to put the college kids on the plane. Sniff. Sure was a fast week.
