THE HUNDRED-DAYS' DRESS: DAY 75

Hitting the 3/4 milepost today. Only 25 days to go!

Taking pictures in the office mirror today, just for variety's sake. Mind you, this is not my office. My office is the kitchen table. Actually, this is the same mirror upon which my daughter used to write her Latin words, and this room used to be her room, but anyway, it's one of the mirrors in the house, so here we are.

A lot of work today, so this post is going to be brief and boring.

Just Camellia and me, and a gray J.Jill tunic that I bought years ago at a now-defunct factory-seconds shop in town. This tunic, like so many other things I own, has been in and out of the outbox, but I like it with Camellia. The boatneck works well with the dress's neckline (as in, it's visible as a separate neckline), and the 3/4 sleeves, though I didn't choose them for this reason, are appropriate for the day's milestone.

Actually, the tunic neckline is kind of wide and slides around a bit. The good thing about wearing Camellia over is that my bra straps get covered one way or another.

Thrifted Birk Floridas, Day 6 hair. Not winning any particular awards here, but my husband did remark that I looked nice.

It's another great feast today, the Holy Archangels. It's also my husband's late night at work, so I shall be feasting on my own.

So far today I've written a scene for my new novel, revised my current novel all the way through the closing scene and begun again on the opening, and done a quick line-edit of a paper my younger daughter is writing. I'm not the send-brownies college mother, but the send-writing-help college mother. Having done that and had my lunch, I shortly will embark on copy-editing work for the afternoon. This seems like a good daily rhythm: write, revise, edit, then maybe write again, since I need to finish off my children's-lit column soon, too.

Anon, friends.
