One longline violet/purple-gray blazer, one ombre blue-to-purple large scarf, which I might wear as a shawl/pashmina over Camellia for this wedding we're going to next weekend.
I have lots of things that go better with this purple than my Camellia does, but this combo is actually not bad. I think Camellia is a grayed enough blue to work –– the jacket itself could be construed, maybe, as a deep periwinkle blue –– and I could readily see this as a fall ensemble with boots and gray tights.
Because, again, nothing cools you off quite like thinking about fall clothes, on the penultimate day of July, in North Carolina. But here we are.
How much did these items set me back, you ask?
$1.07. Fifty cents each.
ADDENDUM: The jacket is from Dress Barn, not a fine brand, but for fifty cents, it's great. I love the longer line, and it fits like a dream. No idea what brand the scarf is, and I'm fairly sure it's synthetic, not silk, but again, fifty cents . . .
